How to Set Up Timestamp Change Tracking in LS Central
Step 1: Understand the Concept
- Timestamp handling can be activated per distribution location.
- You do not need to switch all locations at once; it can be done individually.
- LS Central must know for each location which change tracking method is active.
Step 2: Locate the Distribution Location Card
- Go to Retail Setup.
- Find the field Local Distribution Location.
- Use this to look up the Distribution Location Card for the current location.
Step 3: Check the Timestamp Flag
- On the Distribution Location Card, locate the flag Use Preaction Timestamp.
- This flag determines if timestamp-based change tracking is active for that location.
Step 4: Interpret the Setting
- If the flag is enabled, timestamp change tracking is active.
- If the flag is disabled, LS Central uses the old preaction-based change tracking.
Step 5: Handle Missing or Incorrect Setup
- If records are not found or settings are incorrect:
- LS Central defaults to preaction-based change tracking for the current location.
Step 6: Why This Matters
- Data distribution jobs rely on knowing which change tracking method each location uses.
- Without activation, functionality remains the same as before (using Preactions).
Note: This setup primarily affects the current location.
